About PlugReady USA

PlugReady USA is a matching service for EV charger installation, covering 300 US metro areas. We are not an installer and we do not sell chargers. Our work is the layer in between: researching each metro's utility programs, state law, permit process and housing data; publishing it with sources and dates; and routing installation requests to the licensed local installers who do the work.

The model is deliberate. A homeowner in Phoenix and a homeowner in Portland face different utilities, different laws and different housing stock; national template content serves neither. Every city page on this site is assembled from joined public data — Census Bureau, EIA, AFDC and statute indexes — and where the honest local answer is 'no program' or 'no law', that is what the page says.

Installers join the network per market and are matched by service, city and property type. Customers pay nothing to use the matching service; installers pay for the introductions, under agreements that require licensure in the state where the work is done.

PlugReady USA is an independent referral and information service: we publish sourced local information about EV charging — utility programs, incentives, laws, permits and housing data — and, when a homeowner or business asks us to, we connect them with independent local EV charger installers. Any installation is arranged and carried out solely by the independent installer you choose, under a separate agreement between you and that installer. What an installer charges, when the work is scheduled and the standard of the workmanship are matters between you and that installer, so please check the license, insurance and references of any installer before hiring them.
